Unclogging the Galileo O&P Toolhead

How to Unclog the Nozzle

Tools Needed:

  • 1/2 Stick of 3D Clean 1.75
  • 2.5mm Hex Key
  • 2mm Hex Key
  • 1.3mm Hex Key

Step 1: Unclog Steps - 3D Clean

  1. On the Main Screen, select the name of the toolhead, then select the nozzle icon to the right.

  1. Input 240 and select the Check at the bottom.

  1. After the nozzle heats up, look at the guide tube going into the toolhead. Pushing the Black Ring around the tube will release the tube from the toolhead.

  1. Pull the Filament from the nozzle, then push the 3D Clean Stick all the way through the toolhead.

  1. Wait 30 seconds, then push the desired filament behind it. Insert the Guide Tube into the Toolhead.

If nothing is pushed out of the nozzle, attempt to push a 2.5 Review step 2 from above instructions and input 0 as the temperature. Wait for the toolhead to cooldown, unplug the power to the printer then proceed to Step 2 Below

Step 2: Unclog Steps - Extruder Disassembly

  1. Unscrew the Front, Left and Rear screws from the toolhead as shown in the 2 pictures below:

Left and Back Screw

  1. Afterwards, the toolhead will lift from the printer, do not disconnect any wiring.
  2. With the toolhead lifted from the printer, see if there's any filament on the outside of the tube.
If there's any filament sticking out, plug in the printer's power. Select the nozzle you're heating, select 220, select the check mark. After the toolhead Heats up, push the filament through the top of the toolhead until no-more filament is visible. Then proceed below:

  1. Loosen the Silver tension lever all the way(to the left) and attempt to push the 1.3mm hex key through the top of the extruder until you can see the hex key through the bottom of the extruder
If the hex key does not push all the way through, carefully push it through until the clog is cleared.

  1. With the clog removed, reinstall the toolhead as you removed it from the printer. Start with the back and Left Screw, then the front screw.
